“[Needs] can’t be met by the Pentagon, [and] it can’t be met by the VA,” Mullen said. “It can only be met, I believe, by communities throughout the country joined together with the Pentagon and VA to get it right for those who’ve sacrificed so much.”ย

Kieve has developed this opportunity for veterans in consultation with the military and its colleagues. This program is endorsed by Matt Flavin, President Obamaโ€™s advisor on veteransโ€™ affairs.

Kieve is a non-profit founded in 1926 and is sponsoring this opportunity for veterans thanks to generous donations made by individuals who are deeply appreciative of our veterans.

We are also partnering with Embrace A Vet which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to proving direct and supportive services to Maine Veterans and their families living with post-traumatic stress and/or traumatic brain injury. Take a look at their site Embrace A Vet and join the EAV team for a retreat at our Kennedy Learning Center on Damariscotta Lake.
